Infrastructure projects handle large volumes of steel tube that can bend during transport, stacking and repeated service. A JITIZO straightener supports the project’s tube-processing stage by correcting compatible curvature and connecting sorting, inspection and subsequent surface treatment in a continuous workflow.

The project challenge

Manual correction varies with tube length, bend location and operator experience, making a stable processing rhythm difficult. The equipment workflow begins with sorting. Tubes within the machine’s diameter, wall, length and bend range enter straightening, while cracked, severely corroded, crushed or locally deformed tubes are separated for assessment.

Continuous multi-roll straightening

Staggered rolls apply repeated reverse bending to reduce residual curvature. Roll spacing, penetration, feed speed and tube rotation affect the result. The project team can establish settings for frequently processed sizes and recheck roll positions when a specification changes instead of copying the previous setup.

Safety checks before reuse

Straightening corrects geometry; it does not restore lost load capacity. Scaffold or structural tubes still require inspection for cracks, corrosion, crushing, weld damage and other weakening before reuse. Improved appearance after straightening is not a substitute for a competent structural safety decision.
