Applications

Designed for end reduction and pre-connection forming of oilfield pipe, casing and large-diameter steel pipe used in petrochemical applications. It prepares controlled end geometry for subsequent assembly, welding or dedicated connection processes while accounting for diameter, wall thickness, material strength and forming length.

Customization Scope

Dies and hydraulic parameters can be engineered for the original diameter, wall thickness, steel grade, target end diameter, forming length and permitted ovality. Pipe support, positioning and automatic or manual control are configurable. Pipe standards, drawings or samples are required to verify tonnage and trial requirements.

How the Machine Works

A rigid frame, hydraulic actuator and staged dies matched to the pipe end apply controlled radial forming to casing or thick-wall pipe. Material strength, wall thickness, reduction, transition length and final ovality must be reviewed together.

No. Actual grade and wall thickness must be used to review load, springback, lubrication and die clearance.
